As far as I know there is no setting between 28MB en 60MB for >Rebel and 30MB and 40MB for Mchesspro 7.1. What you see is the average amount of RAM available in the test-PCs. It's not the size of the hash-tables, which are somewhat smaller. For example, when Fritz 5 has 64 MB of RAM, it uses 44 MB of hashtables. MCP 7.1 uses 61 MB hashtables with 64 MB RAM etc. In this table you can see which RAM-sizes the different programs have used until the latest rating list from 98-06-09: 96MB 64MB 48MB 32MB Rebel 8.0 0% 0% 0% 100,0% MChess Pro 7.1 0% 6,3% 3,2% 90,5% Genius 5.0 0% 7,8% 3,6% 88,6% Rebel 9.0 0% 10,2% 7,3% 82,5% MChess Pro 6.0 0% 15,6% 0% 84,4% Hiarcs 6.0 0% 26,8% 3,6% 69,6% Shredder 2.0 4,7% 43,8% 14,0% 37,5% Nimzo 98 0% 59,6% 3,9% 36,5% Fritz 5.0 10,2% 89,8% 0% 0% For more information, look at SSDFs home page.
