Hmm, will look up what is necessary to enable logfile, certainly in the wb2uci.eng some entry "log(file)=true" or so... >If you want to look for bug yourself you could check that the engine receives >the 'level 40 120 0' command at the start of the game and 'time 720000' or close >to this before the first move it should calculate on. King only moves instantly when this depth is reached within pondering. But look here. Move 17: 5min/11 (time/ply) Move 21: 6min/12 Move 25: 4.5min/10 and then ther is a break. From move 26 on King moves MUCH faster: #26: 20sec/9 #27: 2min/9 #28: 54sec/8 #29: 8min/9 ! #30: 6.5min/9 ! #31: 7.5min/8 ! #32: 2min/8 #33: 3min/8 #34: 5min/8 Usually King reaches 8-9 ply very quickly under 1min. Don't know why it takes several minutes to reach that depth in some positions. I have no screensaver or so running which could steal som CPU cycles. Hopefully I will have some time to investigate this behaviour at the weekend. >(This 'black/white/time' is on top of my todo list but I have to do some payed >job inbetween so that my child stop crying of hunger :) ). Ya, job can be nerving. ;-)
