Ok, how about you start running crazyhouse tournaments?
Sjeng vs Sunsetter at slow time controls..
or suicide chess, Sjeng vs OliThink.

How about I call you a boring traditionalist?  Standard rules chess
at slightly unusual time controls is not much of a move away
from traditional chess.
