The story of Terry vs Gambitsoft is 2 sided, sending someone a cdrom for free (for me) is cheap, I don't have to pay the full price <grin> and in this specific case I could help somebody who had some legitimate rights. There is also a commercial side on the case, to do some damage control as the sudden disappearance of Gambitsoft hurts the good name of the industry. About Gambitsoft: like ICD (Hi Steve!) I have only good things to mention, a terrific, accurate customer friendly company. That is to say till last summer. In June/July 2001 Gambitsoft became quiet, no more emails, no more phone calls. Ever since then I only hear bad things about Gambitsoft in email and public forums. I have met Roland Troeger (owner of Gambitsoft) several times, he is good and reliable person and always was full of new ideas to improve his business, he certainly is not the person seeking for the situation of today. My assumption is that something real bad has happened in his life making it impossible for him to run his company, he is just not the man for a one way ticket to the Bermuda triangle. Whatever the reason might be, it will be hard for Gambitsoft to recover lost ground and regain trust in the hypothetical case he wants to return into business. Ed
