You can find some info about this on www.chesstiger.com
To give you a rough idea of the strength, here is some data:
On my Palm m505, I get a TigerMark index of 1.35
On the PII-233 Notebook I'm currently writing this message, TigerMark=94
On K6-2 450MHz I get approximately 200.
So Tiger for Palm is approximately 150 times slower than a K6-2 450.
The engine in Chess Tiger for Palm is Tiger 14.9, an improved version of Chess
Tiger 14.0.
The SSDF rating of Chess Tiger 14.0 on K6-2 450MHz is 2631.
Using the formula elo_difference = 70 * log(speed_ratio) / log(2), I find that
there is a 506 elo points difference between the speed of my K6-2 450 and my
Palm m505.
So an approximation of Chess Tiger for Palm's rating by this formula is:
2631-506 = 2125 SSDF ELO
And this is assuming that Chess Tiger 14.9 is not stronger than Chess Tiger
14.0...
This approximation is somehow confirmed by the numerous test games I and other
people have played with Chess Tiger for Palm.
At this time I believe that the strength of Chess Tiger for Palm is between 2100
and 2200 SSDF ELO.
