It's a 'race' condition that you mean :)

It's my understanding this is a possible x/WinBoard issue that
can be fixed by WinBoard sending a few extra ping/pong's at
the right times. So you just have to make sure you support that
command.

I don't remember the details, but this could be like, for example,
sending a 'resign', and because in the meantime the game was aborted
due to other reasons and a new one started, having it arrive in
the next game.
