Hi Tanya,
I played two tournaments sofar with 14 engines on a dual PIII 800MHz with ponder
on (2 x 128 MB with the exception of the Tiger engines; 96MB) and without an
openingbook since I also want to get an idea of engine capability to play sound
opening by itself (also rules out any advantage/luck of superior booklines).
Both tournaments are double round-robin so every engine plays every engine with
black & white only once. First tournament was 15 minutes per game, and the
second with 45 minutes per game. Currently I'm running 40/2+20/1+30 and that
tournament level will take some time to finish (probably 40+ days). When it is
finished i can compare the outcome of the 3 tournaments. Untill then I can give
the crosstable results of the first two tournaments. Fritz5.32 result in the
first one might interest you.
