i am ready for my next single processor upgrade. I have been checking about everyday on the new releases and what can be expected in the next six months. I would really like to upgrade to this new 1733mhz amd. there are several sites that have overclocked this to an error free 1850 mhz with air cooling. with my next upgrade, I would also like to go to one of the 15000 rpm scsi drives. not sure how noisy these are. some of these companies have a restocking fee of 25% if I decided this scsi was too loud. I think I will wait on the new .13micron Thoroughbred. the mhz should increase significantly with this core. should be over 2000+mhz. also i find the freezer units very interesting. i have some refrigeration experience, so i am not intimidated by these systems in the bottoms of these cases. I noticed SYS has stopped selling their freezer units. they say they are working on the next mhz release. if these guys are waiting on the thoroughbred, then i suspect their mhz will be 2500 to 3000 mhz amd with the temps they run their processor at. below is a good link to an upgrade article. http://www.anandtech.com/cpu/showdoc.html?i=1595&p=13
