I believe this is true for the following reason. I enter a trny long long time ago on ICC ... a blitz tourny ... I at the time had a rating of around 2000 ... I was very good playing against computer acct's ... They would basically almost take anything that wasn't glued down .. at those time controls ... but i played many games with my home made openings against many programs. So when i got to a point that i was even i would let the computer play against another one of my programs to find out better moves. So in the first rnd I won vs a 1700 player next, 2nd I won against a 2300 player at basically fell into one of my cheap traps out of the Blackmar Diemer were he would lose his rook on A8 or get mated on h7. So my 3rd game I was playing a titled player very well know on ICC ... as we were playing i was playing my home made opening .. and strangely he was playing exactly like Genius ... so being in this position I many times .. I am ripping off the moves and my opponent who's very hi ranked is taking his time. Soon he got into time trouble .. could really on the computer any more ... Then he made a sac that was very very unsound ... i believe it was made because he really wasn't into the game .. i believe he was hoping the computer would wipe me out and he would then finish me up. But it was he the one that was in trouble. So his unsound sac would have cost me my queen 2 moves later it i had taken it. So i went on to win the game ... but when i logged on to play my next game ... i was told that the trny director wanted to speak to me ... they basically kicked my out of the trny for cheating .. they said i was using some kind of aid. This was far from the truth ... I told them to try to reproduce the moves i made with a program .. it won't even come close but if you look at my opponent moves every move he made was EXACTLY what genius played. I was told there was no way for a guy of my rating to beat such a high rated player. But no one wanted to even believe that he cheated ... it was I the lowly rated expert that was labled the cheater. I even had GM friends of my write and tell them that i am cable of winning a game against top rated players ... but not a match. But what it boiled down to is .. whom would you radther piss off a Highly ranked player or a low ranked no body.
