Go up one level in this thread

Because i ran the test on a 500Mhz Pentium and i gave Hiarcs 24 minutes which
would be roughly 10 minutes on a 1200Mhz Athlon. My Pentium Laptop if at 1Ghz
would be a little faster than my 1Ghz Athlon (thunderbird) so it is safe to give
2.4X the amount of time.

10 9 10 7 7 10 10 10 10 8 5 7 6 4 10 7

130 points

It would be nice to see Nimzo 3 retested on a 1200Mhz Athlon as i think it would
beat this, Also AnMon 5.19, and SOS.2 for Arena, and Shredder 4 and 6 should be
tested.

I have a question, How can this test be improved? Genius 6.5 is the only program
on the list to get 10points on #2, but the program is nowhere near the strength
of Deep Fritz or Junior for example. Is their a way , maybe by finding examples
where the top programs Solve something that the weaker programs don't.
I realize that since many programs are more Tactical than Positional that this
may not be a good thing to do , like Using shredder and finding positions it
will solve and comparing it's results to the others. That might actually mess up
the rest of the results as if a stronger positional program scored Higher.
