Of course, 2.axb5 isn't best (as you mention). btw, none of the amateur programs I've tried so far (except Yace) have any clue about the mate. Be interesting to see if the commercials can beat Yace at this. Mildly interesting sidebar: Sjeng gives a +3 eval after the following position (starting with Ng3+, not Bb5), which I guess is due to the pawns. Looks like a serious mis-eval.
