Suppose you give a lot of chess players to think about the best piece square table that they can think for programs? Do you expect the piece square table of the strong players to be better than the piece square table of the other players who are not strong players but also not beginners? If the answer is positive it means that strong players can be productive for programmers when the programmers add numbers to the evaluation because the players can help the programmers to have a better initial guess. My opinion is that being a stronger player is one of the things that can help but it is not the only thing. Uri
