I found this out the hard way when I was still working with FICS. A person mailed support to ask for a computer account for 'his' program Comet. He had an @aol address. I thought, no way, Ulrich Tuerke is a German and there is no way someone like him would use AOL anyway. I sent him an angry mail that he would never get a computer account if he kept lying about his identity. Thank God, Ulrich sent a friendly mail back, and I got a chance to apologize. -- GCP
