Subject: 12-hout default filtering, etc.

When I come into CCC I have to use a link that I have created myself, because
the default 12-hour filter is satanic, IMHO.

It bugs me that non-hardcore users get this 12-hour filter, because I figure
that posts that I write are still being missed, especially if I do something
stupid like write one on a Sunday morning, but at least having my own link helps
a little.

But I'm also hosed just on my own personal machine.

When I add a new post, I think I'm completely stuck. I go to a page that has my
new post on it, but I don't think this is using my 24-hour filter. And when I
read a post on that page, and press the "back" button, I'm in some sort of hell,
I don't go back to the 12-hour message list even, I go back to the post I just
wrote.

Is this just a problem with my browser (various versions of MSIE), or is there
something else I can do about this, or what? I would hate to think that I have
to re-filter every time I add a post.

I would like to see the 24-hour default filter restored, or see a survey on
this, or hear from people who love the 12-hour filter, or something, if
possible.
