Maybe someone can shed a little more light on the operators >with the !computer. Here is another two cents on this subject. I don't have an ICC account but I do at chessnet and yes I have !computer in my formula. As far as ICC is concerned if someone wants to pay for the account they should have the right to play anyone they choose. If that person is often changing formulas to !computer and computer then you can if you wish simply ignore them as others can. Back to my account. I have two pc's and can run as many pc games as I wish with more accurate results, without using a server. As my PC's are identical, I can guarantee the set up of both programs. Book in use, optimization etc. Whats the point in playing my version of Tiger 14 on my AMD 1200 against someone using say Deep Junior on 2.6 ghz?. What's to be gained from that for either of the operators. I am interested however in seeing ideas from strong humans, in particular in the opening. This for me serves two purposes. One it causes me to think about my own games and two it allows me to make and evaluate stronger book lines, which I do use. Personally when beta testing a program I would never consider playing on a server the best way to do it. Only time I would even log onto a server would be to check the programs function on the server. Sarah.
