The HIARCS 8 beta engine that you have is a fake -- it is nothing more than a hex editied (modified) HIARCS 7.32 to display a different engine name and parameters window. None of the current versions of HIARCS 8 being tested register themselves in the ChessBase GUI as HIARCS 8 Beta -- they are assigned specific numbers and letters to track differences. As far as the real HIARCS 8 --- we are showing great results against all top engines. The engine should be ready for release before the summer. I will post more accurate information on this imposter engine (size, options, etc.) shortly. -elc.
