If Yace is allowed to use it's own book, you should not cripple Shredder by giving it a random book (Shredder6.ctg), but use it's own book instead (Shredder6.bkt which comes with the Classic interface), and in book options enable the tournament book. This is no problem as Yace works flawlessy under the Shredder interface (I believe this is what Dieter uses himself) and you can run the match there. Yace can use it's own book under Shredder by removing the path to the default book in the engine match window (only for Yace!), and specifying the directory to it's own book in the engine options. If you really want to compare amateurs vs. pro's, I think it is essential to get his right, because the books are one of the significant differences between the two. -- GCP
