x86-64 compilers should be able to handle this seamlessly, so no need to use
assembly. Also, you can do 64-bit operations without 64-bit immediate operands
(e.g., register-register instructions). Actually, I believe it's impossible to
even have 64-bit immediates in all of the major 64-bit RISC instruction sets.
