Actually Dr. Hyatt has claimed maybe 2500 at best, on top PC's and that *IS* the begining of Grandmaster:) I'm certain he keeps his estimates a bit low to avoid making a false claims about computer chess. As a scientist he must be critical without absolute proof to the contrary. Also he's played and exchanged information with many GM's. Terry
