I believe that 2 hours/40 moves help most humans
to perform better against computers relative to the time control
that Gulko played but I am careful not to do generalizations about it.

Gulko chose the time control in the match and not
a slower time control so one of the possible reasons to consider is
that he may believe that slower time control is not going
to give him better chances.
