As a programmer myself, I see that you did many, many good things in Arena. The number of hours you spent must be very high. Regarding dragging pieces, I have two specific thoughts: first, nearly every program in the past 15 years works that way -- it's difficult for some users to change their long-established habit of how to move pieces without disrupting their game focus; and, second, that the talented author (that's you!) of this great program would find this standard feature nearly trivial to implement given all the other great stuff he's done and given that so many other programs do it (i.e., it's probably not as hard as most any other feature you implement, plus applicable [sample] source code is certainly available in abundance).
