That's what all the fighting comes down to, right?  How do you rank these three:

a) Garry Kasparov (or use Kramnik if you prefer)

b) Deeper Blue 1997

c) The best PC chess program today, running on a very fast PC (say Fritz 7.0.0.6
running on an Athlon XP 2100+)


There are six possible rankings.

There are people here who would subscribe to each of the six rankings.

And there are a bazillion postings arguing about this.
