Dear Readers, I just purchased Fritz 7 from ICD (naturally!). Initially both ICD and I expected that I would have to download the latest patch to upgrade the program. However the good news is that since January 22, 2002, all CD's have automatically been upgraded. I found that out the hard way by trying to upgrade the already up-graded product. Also I confirmed this by clicking on "Queery Upgrade?" at the on-line playing site (it told me I already had the latest version) and then I read the ChessBase web site news, which vaguely alluded to the built-in upgrade. It would have been nice if they had communicated this more clearly. Strangely, the CD only refers to the program as Fritz 7 (January 22, 2002). There's no mention of 7.006 or 7b or anything like that. Anyway, that's the iformation. Now for my question. I immediately began playing speed chess with Fritz 7. However, every time it made a move, an annoying yellow arrow remained on the screen showing where its piece had moved from/to. I searched the manual but couldn't find any way to turn this annoying distraction off. Can you readers offer any assistance? Thanks in adavnce. Stephen
