an annoying yellow
arrow remained on the screen showing where its piece had moved from/to. I
searched the manual but couldn't find any way to turn this annoying distraction
off. Can you readers offer any assistance?

Hello Stephen,
click on tools, options. now click the game tab. uncheck "mark move with
arrow".
