It is true that the air conditionner removes humidity from the air.
But if you stop it, you get the following nightmare: your hardware is now at a
lower temperature than the humid air (which will go back into the room anyway),
so you'll get even more condensation on the computer while the air conditioner
is off.
So I find it less expensive to just let the computers on (I turn the monitors
off).
If I was not under a tropical climate I would turn my computers off when I do
not use them, because I'm against wasting energy.
