Most of the top programs will not use time this well.
I was very satisfied that Tiger took full advantage of the clock.
I was not aware that tiger could manage time this way.
also it was obvious that this program is very aggressive.
tiger never castled in this game, and the GM felt constant pressure.
in the shredder game, the GM said hi and talked to kibitzers, not in this game.
it seems the GM was constantly defending his position, which lowered the
strength of his attack.

this program gives the operator a feel like no other.
when operating this program you constantly feel like something is going to
happen with every move. I was constantly waiting for eval change, because of
strong program attack. but with other programs, you sit waiting on Kh8, or b3.
not with this program. it must be risky to play like this. but not too risky
against this GM in this game. although the eval showed the GM up in score, he
could not get an advantage to mate. when using other programs on the servers I
will sometime leave my computer room, not with Gambit Tiger. this program
worries me constantly when operating. but it proved to me and the GM, that it
can play for a draw when down in material. the GM was very much more talkative
after this game, then after the Deep Shredder Paderborn on 3100mhz.
during our conversation after the game, i was online quite some time. i could
tell the GM was reviewing lines and positions. the GM would think for awhile and
then have a question or message me back to answer my question. I could tell that
this GM was fascinated by this program play. I asked the same questions after
the Shredder game, and he didnt have much to say. I know this is only two games,
and i know we must require many games to draw conclusions, but these are just
some of my feelings about what happen.

I would also like to make this comment. there are many here that have used
programs to play GM for years. some very amazing games in the past with programs
and different programmers. I will never forget this game, this game lasted over
three hours. the GM was not convinced of a draw until way late in the game. more
than one posiiton was complicated enough that he misjudged his opponent and the
play. this game was very enjoyable for someone that has chess programs as a
hobby.

i have not decided on my next program, for the third game which will be played
Sunday night. i want to move this tower back out, and put the dual 1533 mhz back
in. only because of the kns the dual will achieve. i would like to try Deep
Junior7 next, or Deep Fritz. also i am able to play Century 4 online, if i want
to. i am very curious about century4 because of posts here. i might try to get
this GM to change our match to six games, instead of four. that way i could play
Deep Junior7, Century4, Fritz7, this would make five games. then if the GM lost
a game against one of these programs i could play that program again in the
sixth and final game.

i am not sure that this is true, but when you see tournaments posted here like
Sarah's, showing Fritz7 beating other programs, you would think that that same
program would be stronger against a GM. i am sure some here will disagree with
that. but it makes me wonder about the strength of Fritz7 against this GM.
