Believe me, I know Chessmaster. I've got 6000, 7000, and 8000. And I think it
is the most BORING of them all.

Junior 7--I've got it but haven't had it long and haven't played more than 5
games against it.

I don't know the programs as well as a lot of people here know them. I've
played Nimzo and Fritz quite a few times. Nimzo seems more consistent in
playing in Friend Mode than any of the others. (If anybody who reads this
thinks I'm wrong about this, please tell me.) I've got Shredder too--I've
played it a few times and thought it was more fun that I thought it would be.
But I've only played it a few times.

I've been to your webpage and I'm sure you must know more about these programs
than I do--but, even recognizing that, I certainly have to disagree with you
about Chessmaster. If I had to throw a program out the window, Chessmaster
would be the first to go. (I have read about people tampering with settings on
Chessmaster--maybe if you do that, you can make it more fun to play. I don't
know--whenever I've tampered with settings, I haven't gotten good results.)
