I have the utmost respect for Grandmasters. They have immense talent & they work very very hard to achieve the best Rating & Championships that they can. Most of the top Grandmasters Eat & Sleep Chess, 24/7. Thus the concept of these people Throwing Matches is quite foreign to me. Their own self esteem would stop them from such public humiliation. Their whole Career rests on winning chess games to get invitations to bigger & better chess tournaments. Only a real loser, who believed his career was ending & beyond redemption, would throw games to a computer for money. I believe every Chess Grandmaster does Not see themselves in that way. I think if you respect these people you believe in their honesty, and if you don't respect them then you doubt their results, which tarnishes all match and tournament results, from Chris's list all the way up to the current World Champions. I may be nieve to have such faith in Chess Grandmasters, but it is a much more pleasant life than to be constantly doubting the integrity of game match & tournament results. Tina Long
