My personal opinion is that the use of any tablebases will improve Fritz's play
to a certain extent. However, the greatest improvement will be felt when you use
6-piece tablebases using pawns -- and not one of the tablebases currently on the
UAB site includes pawns. The full set of 365 6-piece tablebases will need one
terabyte of hard disk space. The message
http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?221160 gives the exact size of
the uncompressed tablebases.
