However, the greatest improvement will be felt when you use 6-piece tablebases using pawns -- and not one of the tablebases currently on the UAB site includes pawns. The full set of 365 6-piece tablebases will need one terabyte of hard disk space. The message http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?221160 gives the exact size of the uncompressed tablebases.
