I'll not use my chess database for a few months so I already wasted more than a week over making vain attempts at storing the files. I wish to compress under Windows the chess files into multi-volume spanned SFX DOS 16 modules so that in the future I'll be be able to decompress them under DOS (decompression speed) In WinRar it only works for single-volume SFX DOS modules and the WinAce GUI does not even want to open on my machine even after a clean Windows reinstall. Does anybody know of a Win 32 GUI (by preference without command lines) that can create multi-volume SFX modules that can be extracted under DOS ? By preference freeware without banners / nags.
