This article sounds exactly like an advertisement for PalmOS when you think
about it.

And yes, most existing applications will run on the new PalmOS. It was a
requirement for the new OS, and apparently they have managed to do it very well
(it has been demoed since a long time actually).

Yes the PPC is a good challenge. PocketPC computers are still slow enough
compared to current PCs) that a really good chess engine is a requirement, or
else the chess program is too easy to beat.
