Sjeng agrees (I'm analyzing manually and I'm impatient, so these
are small searches) up to a6, preferring Ng6 instead and having black
up +0.86.

The reason why I like this move and would prefer Sjeng to play it
is because it immediately 'sharpens up' the position. White will
have to play _very_ accurately to get out alive, as all his pieces
are out of play. Black on the other hand has several (obvious)
attacking moves that keep white pinned down.

It's effectively a move that makes it easier for you to play
the right moves and easier for your opponent to blunder. Sometimes
this is a better plan than trying to find the objectively best move,
even for computers.
