There could be a lot of problems with your settings of Sjeng.
Note that Sjeng for some reason comes with ~250MB total hash
as default! Take a look into the "Sjeng.rc" file please.
Also we dont know under which GUI you played Sjeng but from the
output I assume it was Arena?
Moreover we dont know if you installed Sjeng as UCI or WB under Arena?
In a post of the Arena beta test Forum someone mentioned problems
with pondering of Sjeng 12.11 under Arena but he also did not mention
in which way he installed it...
Normally UCI versions' hash sizes should be managed by the GUI
but sometimes it is necessary to delete the special "ini" files
of programs which are both UCI+WB (in this case  ".rc").
