Subject: Which openings product is sufficient to study one's own games?

Author: Michael Williams

I get an error message when I attempt to contact Chessbase.com

"The command line argument is not valid.

Verify the switch you are using.

I've filled out all the windows, etc.

Does anyone else have this problem, and could they tell chessbase?

------------------------
I'm really puzzled as to what to get along with Fritz7, here is the text of my
really confused letter. The idea I am trying to emphasize is that I'm happy
just analyzing my own games, any opening info I'd obtain is just to satisfy my
curiosity, I don't have any delusions about becoming a serious player...
Moreover, I've been such a chicken I've only stuck to petroffs and trompofsky
openings anyhow!
-----------------------

Any suggestions?Define "survey" as it pertains to Chessbase Opening Encyclopedia
2002.
Does it resemble a 5000 word article written by a master?

Also, I've noticed I can buy your products in the US, I'm afraid of older
versions of your openings products, if there are more than one versions, do you
support updates or are we on our own?

Lastly, I have 1000+ of my very own games to analyze, which is my principal
enjoyment. Why would I need Chessbase 8.0, would it enhance the study of
specifically my own games? Assume that the alternative would be to use only
Fritz and some openings product (I'm guessing the powerbook is best and
sufficient).

I am about 2100 in strength.

When is Chessbase 9.0 ever going to come out, and what would it possibly
contain? (just a worrywart...)

Thanks in advance for any help!
