I've been working with a couple of Intel folks, obviously.  As well as
some Compaq folks for alphas and Sun folks for SPARCS.  I will eventually
have an IA64 and yes, there will be some asm for them once I get one.  Or
perhaps Eugene has worked on this already since he has lots of IA64 machines
in his compiler group.

But rest assured, fast versions will be around.  :)
