Isn't this just obvious pre-game hype?? Of course he wants the public to believe he is playing the strongest computer in the world. If he wins, he is a hero. If he loses, it's because the machine is even stronger thana the one that beat Kasparov. Also of course, he is planning on being the hero. If the public believes that this program/machine is weaker than Deep Blue then what's the point (besides the money he's getting)!? Jim
