I am a rusty 1500 player, occasionally I play at the chess club in Woodbury, NJ. I thought I might get beaten less badly by a lesser engine, I have no shot against Fritz 6 though you can dumb it down some. Possibly its the ego factor, wanting to win once in a while. I think playing an 1800 rated engine might be interesting for me. I did get on Arena and played Pierre 1.4 and won easily twice with one draw. Then I played Sdbc and lost twice, but the first game I blew it when I lost a piece. Mark
