The confirmation on the formula was early last month. As I indicated in my
previous post, I *assume* that the possibility of disk swapping is at least part
the reason why the programmers still suggest using the formula to determine hash
table size. I'm not a programmer myself, and in any event don't have access to
the "guts" of the Fritz program to see its inner workings, so I can't do much
more than make educated guesses as to why the formula is still recommended.
