PS: Next game I will play it at G\45 plus 5 sec did you noticed that Sjeng at
this time control can still reach depth 9 and 10 while poor CTP only reach detph
5 and sometimes 6.
My point was a psychological one: a chess program for Palm can probably be much
stronger than most people here think. Or: the slow hardware of the Palm should
not be regarded with contempt.
I agree - especially considering I bought a $1500 Vancouver program in a wooden
autosensor board back in 1990. It was then described as a 'Monster' yet the
processor was approximately equivalent to the one in the Palm!
I guess in 15 years time people will look down their noses (English expression
for snobbery) at the 4 GHz PDA that are on then on the market, dismissing them
as 'food mixer' type processors.
Oh well, the Vancouver gave me a good wipping as does Tiger and Genius - I'm
happy!! I would also point out to people that IMO you *play* more chess with a
PDA while you *analysis* more with PCs (what's the point of playing Tiger on the
PC?).
Of course this is just my opinion!

Steve
