I agree.  That's why I think it's sometimes useful to ask not just:

"How long to prefer move xyz?"

but

"How long to prefer move xyz AND show an evaluation of (e.g.) +1.5 for White?"


In this case several of the solutions shown would probably be a lot longer
(time-wise).
