Yes, I also remember that the 1st MMX Pentium had been clocked with 166 MHz.

Well, that's already several years ago. I think, it's very conservative to
assume that the current version on P166MMX is above 2300 (probably clearly
above).

Meanwhile, I expect that CTP can win a few games in this match. My impression is
that CTP will be able to exploit some situations where Comet's eval directs the
engine into the wrong direction. I'm inclined to think that it doesn't matter
too much in these cases if the hardware advantage is a factor of 10 or 50.

Seems to me, that these computer games on very asymmetric hardware obey to their
own laws.

This match could become more interesting than I'd thought. We'll see.

Anyway, the Tiger sells its skin as expensive as possible - even on a Palm.
Quite impressive !

Perhaps, we should also test how Shredder will do on a Athlon against CTP ?  -:)
