Now that the new FIDE ratings are out, Loek Van Wely lost 55 points and almost 30 spots on the new rating list. 1. How much of it would you attribute to preparing and playing against Rebel, as opposed to what he would do normally? 2. Is this a common occurance (did Kasparov lose points after his match against the IBM computers, etc)? 3. If so, is it more from losing time to study, or to have to switch from playing other GMs, then a computer, and then back to GMs? 4. What's your prediction of this on Kramnik's performance after the Fritz match? Bob
