May be, the advantage due to use of the P166 is way too large. I 'd guess that's
already a performance factor of 20 (or even larger ?).

Nevertheless, the SSDF games against CSTal show that CTP is always dangerous,
though CSTal is running on a P200. I wouldn't claim that CSTal is weaker than
Comet.

After all, you have the big advantage, that there is less time to discard the
good moves in higher iterations, because you don't reach them thanks to slower
hardware.

Peter just mailed to me that Comet's play is more convincing on 80486 than on
P166.

May be my prog is a bit too antique. It had been tested and optimized for too
long on slow hardware. When all the users tested on Pentium, I still used my
80386.
