Hi. I own Virtual Kasparov, by Titus Interactive. It's for the Playstation/Gameboy and don't be fooled by its native platform - the game has quite a bite! Well, actually the CD I have is the PSX-emulation version for PC. It runs well on my Celeron 466Mhz PC. CD = 600++ Megabytes. IMHO Its best features are: 1. Crystal-clear series of interviews with Kasparov 2. The 50+ Kasparov-annotated games. Seems as though Kasparov is walking through his games with you. 3. Simple and straightforward menus. 4. Nice 2D chessboard graphics. 5. Strong engine. Tactically sound. Club-level at least. Weaknesses: No PGN support. Annotated games cannot backtrack, no analysis mode (as in Chessbase), no voice move announcements. 3D chessboard has jaggies and is unplayable. Installation is a bit tricky, but if you follow the instructions, you should be up and running. Keyboard controls not so clear...I mean there's no keyboard list of commands. If Kasparov is your chess idol, this CD is a must have! It makes a nice collection to your Chess s/w as it's like hearing first-hand from GM Kasparov his experiences and it's like being mentored first-hand by Garry. Actually its simpler graphics makes for simplicity and the game actually grows on you after a while. I like it. Does anyone know what engine it uses...because it's pretty strong and at its highest level it should give any club-level player a good challenge. Its book knowledge is quite good and it likes to play the Marshall as black. VK came out in March 2002 if I'm not mistaken. I'd be interested to know its actual strength. ELO? Rating? Or how about vs other strong chess Engines? Or nobody has touched this Gameboy/Playstation chess game? Regards Frankie
