Go up one level in this thread

the review is lying about price. The official DGT clock
isn't doing more than 90$. If i order it at online store sure
it is hell expensive. They ask prices which are insane for
a clock which can be produced for i guess $5 in total.

If i order it at the chess federation just one clock then
it is 72.60 euro, which in dollars is another 15% cheaper than that
(still a huge price for a chessclock IMHO, but knowing the
alternatives which suck ass it is a good clock).

Usually we buy like 20 or so at the same time which makes it even
cheaper.

One chessclub i know in the neighbourhood of my club (i'm secretary
of chessclub Utrecht) is using the Saitek digital clock.

DISASTER! no way to easy set the levels without extensively reading
the manual. Other digital clocks it is impossible to press the clock
in time trouble, not to mention at blitz.

DGT clock, though simple from design, is a big winner here. Easy to
operate. Great support in case of problems, and definitely *any*
level you can preset. It is not limited to just a few levels!

I dislike its price, but when compared to the other disaster clocks
i understand why.
