hi otello,

not only at this point... IMO after 14.f5 the game is just over. shredder is
already in a very bad position after 13.f4, but i'm not going to claim it's lost
- smirin will surely give his comments... this is like 18 ply away from the
position where you first thought shredder had made a mistake with bxc4. chess is
not only tactics, and 15 ply may still not be enough...

PS we had this DB-micro debate - one thing i didnt say there, because it's not a
"hard fact" is this: you saw rebel lose against van wely like a beginner. now
you saw shredder lose like a beginner. in the dutch championship fritz lost like
a beginner. of course these programs would beat the shit out of me! of course
they are very strong! but they also play some games i would be ashamed of. maybe
deeper blue was just lucky against kasparov - but it did not play a single game
where it looked only nearly as stupid as shredder today (deep blue did lose one
game in this fashion).
