I would like a way to specify max search depth, so Chest/er will halt
the search after the defined depth if no mate is found.

I like the name Chester.  Or how about ChestMaster 8000?  No, on second thought
you might get sued.

Thanks again for making this available.  I will probably now start using Chest
again, while before if looking for a mate I wouldn't bother with Chest and just
use something like Chessmaster.
