The time management problem seems to be in the upgraded engine only and not the interface. In a 3/12 time control, Fritz 7's latest upgrade would go down between 10 to 20 seconds of time remaining within the first 20 moves. In an identical position, I swithched to the Fritz 6e engine and it made a move with little time used at all. So if any of you are lucky enough to have kept a copy of your previous Fritz 7 engine safely tucked away in some other folder, all should be OK. Brian
