I own Cosmos. It is very good and is more convenient than Novag Sapphire II, but
does not look as an handheld but rather as a little black "briefcase". In
addition, when I played it on the bus one morning, one little Black Pawn piece
fell and got lost!

I think its Elo strength is around 2050. My Elo rating is around 1700 and I
could not beat the Cosmos at all because it is tough. The chess program inside
the Cosmos was written by Franz Morch, the author of Fritz.

You may order it from ICD/Your Move Chess & Games store or maybe from
http://www.saitek.com or http://www.saitekusa.com.

Well, I don't own any Palm or Ipaq and I don't know. You decide whether to buy
it but they are more expensive and somewhat stronger than Cosmos. Maybe you can
wait for next newer palm handheld. Anyway, any palm handheld cannot lose chess
pieces as the Cosmos does.
