1) not a bad idea to have qword alingment of each enty. I would prefere 16 Byte Entries, so one (or two even/odd consecutive) entry fits in one cache line for sure. This may also decrease code size because of easy multiply by 16 instead of 14 to determine the address of an entry by the compiler. Instead of using two dummy bytes i would think about storing some more usefull information, e.g. a second move. 2) no experience with 95/98. Gerd
